Thailand Reduces Visa-Free Stay Period for International Tourists

Thailand has officially announced plans to reduce its visa-free stay period for international tourists from 60 days to 30 days.

According to reports, Thai authorities say the decision is aimed at addressing concerns related to visa overstays, illegal business activities, and misuse of extended visa-free entry privileges by some foreign nationals.

The policy adjustment is expected to affect travelers from more than 90 countries that previously enjoyed longer visa-free access into Thailand.

Despite the tighter immigration measures, Thailand remains one of the world’s most visited travel destinations, attracting millions of tourists yearly for its beaches, nightlife, luxury resorts, shopping experiences, and cultural attractions.

Travel experts are now advising travelers planning trips to Thailand to carefully verify current visa requirements, permitted duration of stay, passport validity rules, and possible extension conditions before departure.

The development once again highlights how global immigration policies continue to evolve, making proper travel planning and updated travel information increasingly important for international travelers.
